Pastor Sharon has pastored for 34 years in Muscatine, Iowa. Her life wasn't always the best. In her younger years, she got into drugs and alcohol very heavily and it nearly destroyed her. She was involved in a wreck while she was driving in an alcohol-induced black-out and she hit a gas pump. The wreck should have killed all of the occupants in the car that night. Her younger sister and parents were her spiritual heroes and prayed her through those dark years. Her older brother, who spent 35 years in law enforcement, was an excellent role model. Pastor Sharon almost hemorrhaged to death from drugs one night. She didn't believe the Lord could love her, but He showed her how real He is and that He loved her, and her chains of addiction were broken.
That is when her life was turned around. Since that day, she has gone on to pastor the Jesus Mission Church and oversee the Pearl City Outreach as well as Jessica Fay's Closet. Pastor Sharon feels compelled to share the love she received from Jesus with others. The outreach has helped people from all walks of life, children, the elderly, and those with physical and/or mental disabilities. Pastor Sharon almost died on the streets and feels obliged to help those who are in need.
